Carol was born August 29, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Earl and Effie (Cabley) Hosmer. She married Duane Day on March 9, 1946 in Flint. She loved traveling, storytelling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol was a librarian for the Genesee District Library and retired in 1985 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed coordinating special events.
Carol is survived by her husband, Duane; son, Dick (Sally) Day of Swartz Creek; special daughter, Debbie (Allan) Cruthers of Hartland; grandchildren, Dan (Carynn) Day of VA, Anjanette (Perry Szappon) Day of Flint, Karri Robertson of Swartz Creek, Jason Cruthers of Hartland, Lindsay (Chris) Teagan of Hartland; great-grandchildren, Parrish, Ashley, Danniele, Brandon, Christian, Samantha, William and Eli; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; and son Dan.
