She was born on July 13, 1942, to Christian Erling and Barlyn (Tolvstad) Berg, in La Crosse. She was joined in marriage to James Frederick Barrett in 1963.
Her vocation was medical transcription. Outside of work she was skilled at crochet, home renovation, gardening and crossword puzzles. She also assisted Holmen American Legion Auxiliary events.
Christine is survived by her sons, Brian Thomas Barrett of Mosier, Ore., Bruce Allen and Tracy Barrett of Holmen, and James Christian Barrett of Washington D.C.; grandchildren, Bryce and Ellen Barrett; brother-in-law, John Barrett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her parents; her husband, James; sister, Diane Berg; and sister-in-law, Joyce Copus.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 515 McHugh Road in Holmen. The service will open with an American Legion Auxiliary ceremony, followed by Pastor Matt Toso officiating. Friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the memorial service on Saturday at the funeral home. A committal service will follow in Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen.
