Dr. Ronald Cockrell, age 76, passed away on January 23, 2016 in Pueblo, Colorado after suffering from a massive stroke.

Dr Cockrell practiced dentistry for 44 years in the Colorado Springs area. His family moved to Colorado Springs in 1971. Ron retired in 2014 and moved to Rye, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 26 years,Cindy, and his 8 children and 18 grandchildren.

Ron enjoyed his service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including two church missions and working in the Denver Temple. His hard work and optimism was inspiring to those around him. His interests included basketball, fly fishing, bow hunting, four-wheeling and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a very loving grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

A viewing will be held on Friday January 29, 2016 at the LDS Rye Chapel, 2131 Coolidge Ave, Rye CO 81069 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will held be on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the same location at 9:30 am. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway in Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
