James Matthew Augustine, 43, of Connersville, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. He was born January 26, 1972 in Little Falls, New York, one of six children of Romolo and Joan Lalik Augustine. With his family, he came to Connersville for residence in 1984 and graduated from Connersville High School in 1990. On June 26, 1993, he was married in St. Gabriel Church to Amy Jo Hudson of Connersville. Mrs. Augustine survives. He had been employed for thirteen years with Visteon. He was employed and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #103 as a Crane Operator for eleven years.

He was a member of St. Gabriel Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #861.

In his leisure, he enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, helping others and spending time with his family. A good cook, he was known by the family and many others as the "family chef". Survivors besides his wife of twenty-two years, Amy Jo Augustine, include two children, Sarah Elizabeth Augustine and Nickolas James Augustine, both of Connersville; a sister, Debbie Rouse (Sonny Jones) of Broadalbin, NY; four brothers, Mark (Tracy) Bramer, David (Joanne) Bramer and Brian (Lisa) Bramer, all of Connersville and Kevin (Angie) Bramer, of Laurel, IN; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Hudson, of Connersville; three sisters-in-law, Pam (Donnie) Wilson and Tina (Gary) Mays, both of Connersville and Ruth (Mike) Gregory, of Rushville, IN; a brother-in-law, Jerry Rouse, of Ft. Plain, NY; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Stella Lalik and Nicola and Maria Augustine; his parents; a father-in-law, Charles Hudson; and a nephew, Justin Bramer. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Gabriel Church with Reverend Dustin Boehm officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery, Friends may call at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral home from 4 until 8 PM Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM.
