Pvt. U.S. Army, {RA17292005}, Korean War-Pvt. Kooper was killed in action by small arms fire on 5-29-1951 while serving as a Light Weapons Infantryman with the 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Kooper of Adams County, Illinois.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with One Service Star, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation.
