Philip served with the United States Army during World War II. For 35 years, Phil owned and operated the Philip Marcinowski Stone Mason business. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Albion and the American Legion in Albion. Philip loved all animals, enjoyed mowing the grass, gardening, collecting antiques and refinishing antique wood furniture.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Furgala, and three brothers, Mike (d 7/23/2000 age 89), Frank and John Marcinowski.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley Ann Blair Marcinowski, whom he married July 11, 1947, and two daughters, Shirley Ann Hammett and her husband, Dalton, and Kathleen Moreira and her husband, David, both of Albion. Also surviving are six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
