MONROE — John C. Garvue, 77, died Monday in a Monroe hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Dorchester and was an accountant in Marshfield and Milwaukee before retiring in 1957. He lived in Monroe for the past two years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Burton Bacon, Monroe; a son, Robert, Tallahassee, Florida; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be at ll a.m. Thursday in the Shriner-Neushwander Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
