Victor Joseph Nork Jr. passed peacefully on Jan. 23, 2016, with his family by his side. He was born July 16, 1939, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Victor Nork and Neta Oden Nork.

Victor served in the United States Navy as a young man. He met and married his life partner, Betty Prince, in April 1958. They had three children, Kimberly, Joe and Tracy. As a fourth generation logger, he had strong work ethics, which he passed on to his children and grandson, Mike Gouette. He also passed along his great love of the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing.

Vic's life experiences produced a lot of interesting stories, which he happily shared. A visit with Vic was always full of laughter and fun. He instilled many memories in all of us who loved him.

In addition to his wife, children and grandson, he is survived by his son-in-law, his sisters,his sister-in-law, his brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, who he held special places for in his heart.

Along with his parents, Vic was preceded in death by his younger brother, Gerald, son-in-law, Greg Gouette; sisters-in-law, Vi Maxwell, Geneva Mattox and Arlene Knodel; as well as many close friends.
