Mrs. Bauer was born in Lively Grove, Ill., October 30, 1882, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Behrmann. During the days of the influenza epidemic of the World War, she was bereaved by the death of her father, Louis Behrmann of St. Libory, and two sisters, Caroline and Eleanora Behrmann, who resided with the deceased. Her sisters who were stricken at almost the same time, died within a few hours of each other, necessitating a double funeral.
On September 21, 1911, Mrs. Bauer was united in marriage with Casper Bauer who survives her with seven children born to their union. They are:

Erna Bauer
Eugene Bauer
Margaret Bauer
Virginia Bauer
Arthur Bauer
Gilbert Bauer
In addition, there are seven step-children:
~ Charles Bauer, Belleville
~ Kasper Bauer, Jr., Belleville
~ Matthew bauer, Pittsburgh, Pa.
~ Mrs. Lena Wallis, wife of Harry Wallis, Santa Monica, Calif.
~ Clement Bauer, Santa Monica, Calif.
~ Mrs. Mildred Hoffmann, wife of Fred Hoffmann, 901 West D street
~ Mrs. Lizetta Lee, wife of William H. Lee, Plainfild, N.J.
Mrs. Mary Behrmann, nee Mary Lake, mother of the deceased, residing with her son, Edward, in St. Libory, also survives.
Remain to mourn the loss of Mrs. Bauer are three brothers:
. Ben Behrmann, Okawville, Ill.
. Louis Behrmann, Nashville, Ill.
. Edward Behrmann, St. Libory, Ill.
... together with one grandchild, Anna Mae Schmittling.
The body was removed to the family home Sunday by the F. C. Bux Undertaking Company, where it will remain until Wednesday morning when it will be taken to St. Peter's Cathedral for funeral services. A requiem Mass will be read at 10 o'clock by the Pastor, Rev. Joseph Mueller, and burial will be made in Green Mount Cemetery.
