Glenn Haught, husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and longtime Bowling Green shoe repairman and leatherworker, passed away after a courageous fight with leukemia and lymphoma at 1:45 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.

Glenn was born in 1941 to the late Hildreth and Ada (Sees) Haught, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Garfield High School. He married his loving wife Linda (Lean) Haught of fifty two years on June 24, 1963, and she survives him in Bowling Green.

Glenn’s career in finance brought him to Wood County in the late sixties where he soon became a car salesman, then opened the Western Look Western Wear Shop in downtown Bowling Green where he began repairing boots. Glenn later dropped the western wear to focus on shoe repair. His shop became Glenn’s Shoe Repair and bounced around a few locations before settling most recently on Clay Street.

Along with his wife Linda, Glenn is survived by a daughter: Melissa (Jack) Marshall, of McComb, Ohio; a son: Gerald Haught, of Bowling Green, Ohio; grandsons: Scot Marshall and Dylan Haught; a granddaughter: Alex Marshall; brothers: Larry (Linda) Haught, of Stonewood, West Virginia and Gary (Becky) Haught, of Canton, Ohio. The family also recognizes the love and support of longtime friends Joe Easterday and Gary Brents.

Glenn and his family are proud and humbled to have his silhouette immortalized on the Bowling Green Community Wall at the corner of Poe Road and North College Street.

A Family Celebration of Glenn’s life will be arranged at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171.
