CHESTER CLYDE BROWN
April 23, 1895 ~ April 24, 1993
Chester Clyde Brown, 98, of Ft. Towson died Wednesday in Valliant.
Brown was a retired grocerman and rancher, a member of the Methodist church, a Mason, member of V.F.W. and an Army veteran of World War I.
He married Delia Garman on July 1, 1920, in Mena, Ark. They moved to Ft. Towson in 1960.
He was preceded in death by one son, J.C. Brown, in October of 1986.
Brown is survived by his wife, Delia Brown, of the home; two daughters, Dorothy Green and Delia A. Hemingway, both of Ft. Towson; two sisters, Marie Burke and Laura Heggeman, both of Belleville, Ill.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for today at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Ft. Towson. Burial will be at the Ft. Towson Cemetery under direction of Huckleberry Funeral Service of Valliant.
