He was born March 9, 1932 in Marion and is survived by his mother, Francis Gails Cooper of Marion. He married Ella Mae Thompson January 31, 1966 in Marion.
He was employed by the Post Office in Carbondale and retired in November, 1991. He was a veteran of the Army and the Air Force and was a member of Pauls Chapel of Marion.
He is survived by his wife, 7 daughters- Kyna , Stephanie, Gwen, Monecia and Nancy , La Gresha, and Kinesha; 4 sons: Richard, Andy, Brian and Kevin; one sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Rayfield Colfield . He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Valencial Williams.
