David Ellis was my mother's uncle. He lost a long battle with Alzheimer's at 66 years old.
David served the United States in the Coast Guards during the Korean War.
He left behind his wife, Fran Naveja Ellis, a daughter Annette; and son David Jr.; an older sister, Harriett; an older brother, Richard; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Myrtle Fay Bruce Verkuyl Ellis, and Fred C. Ellis.
My mother's Uncle David was only 5 years older than her, and she adored him!
