She was a dedicated employee for the Child Development Labs at the University of Connecticut until her retirement in 1989.
Ethel cherished time with her family as each child, grandchild and great-grandchild held a very special place in her heart.
She found joy in gardening and delighted in caring for the birds, especially the hummingbirds, around her home.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Henry Krapf of Ashford, her daughter, Lynn M. Cote of Ashford, and her brother, Frank G. Triska of Stafford.
Ethel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rande J. and James E. Clark of Ashford, her son, Douglas M. Krapf of Ashford, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her close friends Jeanette Karosi and Judy Messier and her fat cat, Fancy.
There were no calling hours.
A Funeral Mass took place at St. Philip the Apostle Church, Ashford, followed by a private burial service.
