Republic Twp., Michigan Obituary:
John W. Haluzak, age 66, of 3983 Cardinal Lane , Squaw Lake (Republic Twp., MI) passed away on Wednesday Oct. 21, 2015 at his home of an apparent heart attack.

John was born Oct 13, 1949 in Libertyville, IL the son of the late William and Stephanie (Koch) Haluzak. He was raised in Gages Lake, Illinois and was a graduate of the Warren High School in Gurnee, IL . John received an associate degree from the Lake Forest School of Business. He worked at Outboard Marine Corp. (Johnson Motors) for 33 years, retiring in 2000 as Manufacturing Manager. In 1990 John started his project of building a cabin on Squaw Lake which took several years to complete. In 2005 he and his wife Susan moved there on a full time basis, leaving their home in Paddock Lake, WI .

While living on Squaw Lake, John enjoyed fishing, tinkering with projects around the cabin or lending a helping hand to a neighbor. John loved animals, especially his pet squirrels that would visit him.

Survivors include his wife Susan (nee Frawley) Haluzak of Squaw Lake (Republic), MI; 2 sons; 2 step-daughters; 2 sisters Joni and Arlene; 8 grandchildren.

Per John's request, cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial service will be held at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL where his cremains will be interred.
