Irene Dalano, 91, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away January 23, 2016. Visitation will be 10-Noon Friday, January 29, 2016 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, MO. Graveside Service will be 12:30 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. Irene was born November 19, 1924, in Yellville, AR, to Johnathan “Daunt” F. & Pansy (Bennett) Wickersham. Irene worked outside the home from time to time but always returned to what she loved best, taking care of her husband, children and home. Irene was much loved by all who knew her. Her family loved her sense of humor, honesty and caring ways. Above all else Irene was a wife and mother. She was married to the love of her life for just shy of 50 years when he passed away in 1991. Irene was preceded in death by her parents: Johnathan “Daunt” & Pansy Wickersham; husband: Lester Delano; siblings: Essie Burgess, Albert Wickersham, Dora Jane Doshier, and Iva Patton. Irene is survived by her children: Donna Kay TeSam, Dannie DeLano & wife Terri, and Garry DeLano & wife Diana; grandchildren: Don DeLano, Rick TeSam, Christy DeLano and great-grandchildren.
