Lived in Oxford Several Years
Mrs. John Rose, of Henderson, who died in St. Luke's Hospital on Tuesday morning at four o'clock, where she spent most of her girlhood, moving to Oxford from Appomattox, Virginia with her mother Mrs. Julian Abbitt. She was before her marriage Miss Frances Abbitt of Oxford. Her death cast a gloom over the entire town for she was a young woman of lovely traits of character and happy disposition. She graduated from the Oxford High School with honors. She is survived by her husband and three small children. The sincerest sympathy is felt for the bereaved mother and entire family.
Funeral services were held at the home of her husband's father, Mr. George A. Rose in Henderson, Wednesday afternoon, the burial being in that city. The services were conducted by Dr. Taylor of Hollins College, Hollins, Va., assisted by Dr. F. H T. Horsfield, rector of St. Stephens Episcopal church, Oxford."
