Irene Audrey Brown was born in 1922 to James Brown (son of John Brown and Charlotte Stimson) and Carolina Allsopp (daughter of Walter Allsopp and Caroline Thrutchley). She had a younger sister named Marlene Gloria (Brown) Phillis. Irene was married to Donald Fred Conger from 1944 to 1945, when he died during WWII. They had a son named Robert Anthony Conger born five days before Don died. She remarried about five years later to Sidney Ernest Ulyat. They had a son named Sydney Dale Ulyat, who was born in 1950 and died in 1958. They remained married until Sidney died in 2001 at the age of 83. Irene died in 2002 at the age of 79, having lived in Nottingham her entire life. She is buried at Southern Cemetery.
