Funeral services for Chester Earl Fleming of Oologah were held Aug. 17, 1996 at Oologah Assembly of God Church. Rev. James Bell officiated. Burial was at Oak Hill in Oologah.
Chester Earl Fleming was born in Gerty, OK to James Fleming and Dora Bare. He died in Claremore, OK at the age of 85.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Fleming of the home; one son and his wife, Eddie and Linda Fleming of Collinsville; two daughters, Joyce Tate of Tulsa and Susye Monroe of Missouri; one brother, D. A. Fleming of Shawnee; three sisters, Rosalee Wendt of Aptos, Calif., Shirley Carter of Holdenville, OK and Opal Mauldin of Calvin, OK.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jim L. Fleming; brothers Carl Fleming, Harley Fleming, Lonnie Fleming and Jim Fleming; sisters Eva Tucker and Maudie Davis.
