Inez Maxine Carpenter, 90, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. She was born on September 25, 1925, in Lexington, Nebraska, the daughter of Albert and Mina (Fellers) Kring.

Inez grew up on the family farm. She married Philip Carpenter in 1943. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Inez was also an avid bridge player and square dancer. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: daughters: Marva (Loris) Boatman, Mary (Tom) Stone; sons, Donald, David (Diane) and Douglas (Cindy) Carpenter; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVere Brinkman and Irene Rachow; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: husband, Philip; parents; and brothers, Glen and Virgil Kring.

Memorial service on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Southlake Village in Lincoln. Entombment at Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
