Bertha Dockery, 99, of Asheville, passed away January 30, 2016. A native of Madison county NC, she was born May 30, 1916 in Madison County. Her parents were the late, Curtis Hascue Bailey ; and Mildia Lowe Bailey;

She is also preceded in death by her husbands,
Sherman Harry Warren/a>; and Alvin Homer Dockery>; one daughter, Vickie Kay Warren Hunnicutt; four brothers; Grady Curtis Bailey; Paul Laney Bailey; Albert G Bailey; and Glenn Bailey; and one sister, Margaret Ann Bailey Crowder;.

Surviving are her daughters, Bernice Brantley and Judy Warren; sons Lowery Warren and Jerry Warren; step-children Betty Carter and Claude Warren; seven sisters, Dorothy Lee Brown, Ruby Rash, Dollie Norton, and Louise Meeker of Asheville, Earlene Hensley of Cleveland, Tenn., and Gladys Huffman and Faye Clement; two brothers, Everette Bailey of Asheville, and Howard Bailey; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave., with the Revs. Mark Chase and Larry Sprinkle officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
