Marriage, census, and death records reveal that William Henry Coghill married first in 1873 to Martha E. Brashear and had at least four children: Luther Gabe, Thomas G., Effie Pearl, and William. Death records for Martha have not been found, but William Henry married again in 1885 to Susan Murphy, and they were the parents of at least four more children: Joseph Ira, Georgia M., Myrtle and Golda. Myrtle died September 1905 in Ohio County from typhoid fever, and her burial place is unknown. According to the death record from the Browning Genealogy Database, Evansville, Indiana, William Henry Coghill died in Kentucky and was buried in Livermore. It is assumed this was in Oak Hill Cemetery where his second wife is buried, but there is no marker to confirm it.
