Colonel Willis (Bub) Bunch Jr. passed away quietly Monday morning, February 1, 2016, at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, MO, after a short but vigorous fight with lung cancer.

Colonel was born in Kirksville, MO on September 28, 1958 to Colonel and Ann (Wild) Bunch of Lancaster, MO. He is survived by his sisters, Jennifer (Ron) Pantry, Laura L. Watson of Lancaster and Rebecca (Lloyd) Wood of Eldon, MO; two nieces, Sarah and Kathleen Pantry and six nephews, Jacob and Willis Pantry, Joshua and Jason Wood, and Bo and Austin Ridgeway. He is also survived by six aunts including Ann (Richard) Bass of Brashear, Linda (Larry) Briedwell of Glenwood and Karen Hunt of Paris MO, one uncle and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents and one infant sister, Laura Jo.

Colonel was a 1976 graduate of Schuyler County R-I High School. After attending college for one year he joined the United States Air Force where he served mostly in England from 1977-1981. He was employed by the Schuyler County Road District and Bob Crump Bulldozing, he farmed in Wyoming for over six years and then returned home to drive a semi truck. He was employed by S&H Transportation at the onset of his illness. He enjoyed playing pool and visiting with family and friends. He appreciated all the prayers, cards, phone calls and visits from friends and family during his illness.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at 6:00 pm with the Memorial service following at 7:00 p.m. at the Schuyler County Church of Faith with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. The cremains will be buried in a private service at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of
