Beverly Ann "Inky" Bolden Jackson, 65, of 501 Washington St., No 12, Vevay, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Markland, the daughter of Vernon E. and Leona M. Vahlsing Bolden. She was raised in the Florence area. She was a beautician for 31 years, operating a beauty shop in her home in Florence, and was the beautician at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay for nearly 30 years. She moved to Vevay in 1995. She loved being a grandma, socializing and visiting with her friends, shopping and dancing. She enjoyed attending the Vevay-Switzerland County Senior Citizens and the Florence Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Danna Lee Works of Vevay; one son, Tony Jackson of Vevay; two brothers, Gary "Skip" Bolden of Tallahassee, Fla., and Danny Bolden of Aurora; one sister, Gladys Bond of Vevay; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father on May 23, 1992; her mother, on Feb. 1, 1992; her husband, Danny Leroy Jackson, whom she married March 7, 1964, and who died Sept. 23, 1994; and one brother, Charles "Chuck" Vernon Bolden, who died June 17, 1992.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Milton Christian Church, King's Daughters' Hospital Home Health & Hospice or the Hannah Grace Klein Endowment Fund. Contributions cards are available at the funeral home.

VEVAY, Ind. – Beverly Ann "Inky" Bolden Jackson, 65, of Vevay, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at her residence, after a 13 year battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry St., Vevay, with Brother Clifton Hartley officiating. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday.

Mrs. Jackson was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Markland, Ind., the daughter of the late Vernon E., who died May 23, 1992, and Leona M. Vahlsing Bolden, who died Feb. 1, 1992.

She was raised in Florence and was a 1958 graduate of Vevay High School.

She married Danny Leroy Jackson on March 7, 1964, at Mt. Sterling, Ind.

She opened a beauty ahop in her home at Florence and was a beautician for 31 years. She was also the beautician at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay for nearly 30 years. She resided in the Florence community until 1995, when she moved to Vevay.

She attended the Florence Church of Christ.

She enjoyed the Switzerland County Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed shopping and dancing.

Survivors include a daughter, Danna Lee Works of Vevay; a son, Tony Jackson, Vevay; two brothers, Gary "Skip" Bolden, Tallahassee, Fla., and Danny Bolden, Aurora, Ind.; a sister, Gladys Bond, Vevay; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
