Olga was the youngest of 10 children of Joseph & Mary [Aubrecht] Carda. Seven children lived to become adults.
A sad note, Olga's father died in an accident 15 days before she was born. As a baby she frequently had convulsions. When Olga was a tiny girl she was shown a picture of her father (long lost) she said, "I don't like God he took my father away. I don't have a father like other girls."
Olga loved out door sports and enjoyed making snow forts for the younger children in the neighborhood. After her father's death her mother kept the family together and raised them in the family home at 4007 33rd St. in Detroit.
As a young lady Olga worked for Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator. In later years she did sewing for a dry cleaner.
Olga married Edwin Krumm on 17 Oct 1927 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Before she married Edwin she was married to a Mr. Roeser.
The couple had one son William "Billy" Edwin and remained in the Detroit area before retiring to Florida.
