Agostino "Tito" Bonini was my paternal great-uncle. Age 82, of Castellarano (RE), Emilia-Romagna, he passed away on January 15, 2014 at Belvedere Medical Center in Castellarano. Born on May 28, 1931 in San Michele dei Mucchietti, frazione of Sassuolo (MO), he was the son of the late Giuseppe Bonini and Balbina Galli. When my dad and my aunt were young, Uncle Tito often took them on holiday in Lama Mocogno (MO), a mountain location, because my grandpa hadn't a driver license. He was my father's favourite uncle, because he treated him like a son.
Preceded in death by parents; sister Irene (Paolo); brother Luigi; niece Deanna. Survived by wife Adele; three brothers, Emilio (Maria), Carlo (Lidia) and Tonino (Novella); nephews and nieces; all families and friends.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Castellarano Parish Church; interment at Castellarano Cemetery; arrangements were by Christian De Carlo Onoranze Funebri, Castellarano (RE).
