Jack Lee Adkins Sr., 59, of Medina died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999 in Valley City.
He was born in Charleston, W. Va., and was a Medina County resident for 30 years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Adopted son of Ada McCloud Adkins. Mr. Adkins was a truck driver for 11 years for Consolidated Personnel Corp. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Adkins (nee Jarousek) who he married in 1963; daughters, Deborah (Chris) Collier and Connie (Tony) Brooks, both of Medina; son Jack Adkins of Medina; and grandchildren Ashley, Margaret, Nicholas, and Katelyn.
Memorial Service: 7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Valley City, 6936 Center Road. Pastor Richard Steele will Officiate.
