Mr. Ebben was born September 30, 1922, in Kaukauna, Wis. He was a son of the late Herman and Irene (Welter) Ebben. He was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Corp., had served in the U.S. Army Aircorp, and was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where he was an usher, Caterpillar Retirees Club and the Machinists Retiree Club.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 59 years, Mary (McGovern); one son, Richard (Joyce) Ebben of Joliet; two daughters, Maureen Ruguone of Lancaster, California and Susanne (Craig) Cole of Tucson, Arizona; nine grandchildren, Wendy (Manuel) Castillo, Matthew (Mai) Ebben, Joshua Ruguone, Nicholas Ruguone, Bree (Craig) Wiegel, Stacy (Dave) Burden, Jason (Jackie) Cole, Stephanie Cole and Ragan Cole; three step-granddaughters, numerous great-grandchildren and one sister, Sylvia (the late Ray) Stocker of Joliet, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Orville, and one sister, Rita Kliglach.
Age 83 years.
