BRO. AVERY MHOON --- departed this life on Sept. 11, 1978 at his late residence, 2952 Broad. He leaves his beloved wife, Mrs. Mary Mhoon; his son and daughter-in-law, Eugene Mhoon and Mrs. Evelyn Mhoon, both of Chicago, Illinois; his granddaughter, Dr. Averette Parker of Washington, D. C.; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Ida Miller and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Ina Steward. He was the beloved uncle of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Louise) Bacon, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Mhoon, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Ezekiel O. Mhoon, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Mhoon, Jr., Mr. Leon Mhoon, Mrs. Juanita Byrd, and Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Hall, all of Memphis, Tennessee. Great uncle of Dr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Mhoon, Jr., of Chicago, Illinois. He also leaves 32 other great-nieces and nephews, five great-great-grandchildren and a host of cousins. Visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 16, 1978, at St. John Baptist Church, 1492 Brookins, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral will be on Sunday, Sept. 17, 1978, at the above named church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
