William is described in his 1918 World War I draft registration as being tall, with a slender build, and having brown hair and eyes. William Henry and Ruby Grace Littlefield resided in Buffalo, New York in September 1918 and January 1920.
William died suddenly in his room in the Onondaga Hotel in Syracuse, New York on 7 May 1925 survived by his wife.
William and Grace Littlefield are buried in Currier's Cemetery at Java, Wyoming County, New York.
