She was a native of Limestone County, born to Albert David Griffin and Mame Sinard Griffin on October 28, 1927. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of James “Jimmy” Aldredge. Along with her late husband, Ms. Aldredge was a founding member of Friendship Methodist Church. There she was the financial officer and treasurer for two decades. Elizabeth joined the Limestone County Bank in October of 1947, and remained with it as the name was changed to the First National Bank of Athens and finally to First Alabama Bank. She retired as the Vice-President of operations, after more than forty years of service. Survivors: Several Nieces and Nephews.
