Funeral services will be at the Wilson Funeral Home, Marion for Marion L. Schooley, 60, Rich Hill MO. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Services will be held Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Rich Hill MO with the Rev. Earl Bearce and Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Mr. Schooley died Monday at Research Hospital in Kansas City MO. Owner and president of several banks in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas, Mr. Schooley was vice president and director of the Rich Hill Security Bank, Rich Hill MO at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Foster MO Masonic Lodge, Shrine Club, Elks of Rich Hill. He was also a member of the Missouri Pilots Club and past president of the International Flying Farmers, Illinois Flying Farmer Aircraft Association, American Legion, and the VFW. He was a retired U.S. Air Force major and had served in World War II.
He was born July 4, 1911 in Mulberry KS the son of William R. and Bessie Weckum Schooley. He was married to the former Lena LaSusa in 1936 in Marion. Survivors include his wife, Lena, three sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Rankin of Foster MO, Mrs. Audrey Klinksick of Perry City MO and Mrs. Edlyn Stoddard of Rich Hill MO and two brothers, Warren of Hot Springs SD and Bill of Plainview NY.
