Marion – Edward D. Vodak, 83 died at 6:05 pm Saturday May 7, 2005 in Fountains Nursing Home in Marion. He was retired from Drive All Manufacturing in Detroit. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He attended First Baptist Church in Marion. Funeral Home is Mitchell-Hughes and burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery with military rites.
He was born January 5, 1922 in Chicago to Edward and Myrtle Patterson Vodak. He married Wanda Newlin February 21, 1941 in Jackson MO and she survives. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Catherine Vodak of Roseville MI, daughter Vicki Loyd of Marion, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Bill Theiman of St. Louis, and sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Cliff Johnson of Arnold MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and a brother.
