David Wayne Aliff Sr., 55, of Bloomingrose, passed away Feb. 9, 2016 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, after a short illness.

Prior to retiring, he worked in the coal industry.

He was born Feb. 26, 1960 in Charleston, a son of the late Milton Gilbert and Addie Lucille Taylor Aliff.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Milton Gilbert Aliff Jr., Robert Lee Aliff and Nevie Alan Aliff.

He is survived by his wife, Annabel; children: a daughter, Samatha Perdue, and a son, David Aliff II; three sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Aliff, Katherine Sue Aliff Bevel and Katie Lea Aliff; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Church of God of Prophecy, Sylvester, with Pastor Joe Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, is serving the family.
