Services for Mrs. Marie L. Snyder, formerly of Aberdeen and Westport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Huebl Chapel, with the Rev. Kayton Palmer of the First Presbyterian Church officiating and burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Snyder died Thursday in a Sheridan, Mont., hospital. She was in Whitehall, Mont., on a business trip when she became ill.

She formerly was the Milwaukee Railroad station agent in Westport, retiring in 1955, and earlier in Aberdeen she worked in the Milwaukee depot lunchroom and in the office of attorney L. T. Van Slyke.

The former Marie Jessie Larsin was born in Jefferson, Ill., and lived in Henry and the Timber Lake area before coming to Aberdeen. She married Harry Porter here and both worked for the Milwaukee in various towns, including Java and Westport.

She married D. R. Snyder in Houston, Tex., and lived in Westport until his death in 1954. In recent years Mrs. Snyder had lived in Montana and with her daughters.

She was a past worthy matron of the Java chapter of the Eastern Star and belonged to the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harriette Albrecht, Aberdeen; Mrs. Armond (Avis) Lammle, St. James, Minn.; and Mrs. Williams (Virginia), Holsapple, Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Lewis Larsin, Timber Lake, and William Larsin, Everett, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Art Griffin, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Chris Jensen, Rapid City; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her husband, a son, four daughters, two sisters and two brothers preceded Mrs. Snyder in death.

Friends may call at the Huebl Chapel from Monday evening until time of the service. The casket will not be open after the service.
