REVEREND CANON ROBERT W. OFFERLE Canon Offerle, 68, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13th in Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart, FL.

He was born Dec. 17, 1937 in Warren, PA. the only child of the late Robert E. & Lois (Phillips) Offerle.

He was a Priest for 37 years & was installed as a Canon in St. Peters Cathedral Diocese of Korfuridua, Ghana, West Africa, Feb. 17th, 2003.

He spent five years doing missionary work in Africa; two years in Panama; and two years traveling the U.S. preaching for food for the poor.

He held positions at: Trinity Church, New Castle, PA. St. Rocco's Parish, Youngstown, OH. Church of the Redeemer, Watertown, NY St. John's, Hollywood, FL Christ Church by the Sea, Colon, Panama Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont, PA and retired as interim Rector of S. Clement's Church, Philadelphia,PA in Dec. 2003.

He was a member of: Confraternity of the Blessed Sacraments; an associate of the All Saints Sisters of the Poor; a Priest of the Holy House,Walsingham; The American Chaplain General of the Society of Mary; and Father Master of the Congregation of the Compainions of the Holy Savior.

His cremains will be interred at Castleview Memorial Gardens, New Castle, PA.
