Curtis Lee Mason, 85, of Lumberton passed away on February 8, 2016 in Beaumont with his wife and family at his side.
He was born on April 12, 1930 to Albert Lee and Bertha Lea Mason in Red Level, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Woodcrest Methodist Church in Lumberton.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Curtis served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He worked as an electrician at Mobil Oil for 35 years before retirement.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Curtis Lynn Mason, Jr.; great-grandson, Elijah Rothe; and his brother, Henry Taylor Mason.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Sue Mason; son, Curtis Lynn Mason and wife, Cindy; daughter, Denise Caywood and husband, Clayton all of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Staci Torres and husband, Homer, Krystle Mason, Holly Burnett and husband, Erick, Lauren Rothe and husband, Mitch, Britt Caywood and wife, Jeanna; and his great-grandchildren, Emily Torres, Peyton Torres, Mackenzie Torres, Jack Burnett, Mason Rothe, Levi Rothe, and Curtis Caywood.
