Mr. Abernathy was an exceptional cook and was a grill master. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters and three sons, Walter Abernathy, Bernard, aka "Bernie" Abernathy, Cynthia Abernathy, Darcyl Abernathy and Warren Abernathy and a host of relatives, especially the Miller family of Flint, MI, and many friends. Mr. Abernathy was preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Abernathy and Renee "Cootie" Abernathy; his father, Warren Abernathy; mother, Katheleen Miller; stepfather, Ben Miller and grandson, Walter "Slim" Abernathy. The family would like to express special thanks to Heartland Healthcare Center of Saginaw and to Browne's Mortuary for their effort and care.
