She was born Nov. 2, 1907 in Rayburn Township to William and Laura (Reed) Hankey.
Mrs. Walter was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kittanning and the Kittanning Order of the Easter Star Chapter 277.
Survivors include three sons, Harold L. Walter of Templeton, Paul C. Walter, of Kittanning RD#2, and John A. Walter of Medina, OH; a daughter, Eleanor M. Walter of Templeton; seven grandchildren and two great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Walter on Dec. 1, 1985; three brothers, Elmer, Delbert, and R. Lee Hankey and two sisters, Esther Gillis and Myra Holfelder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, 1990 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Kittanning with the Rev. Larry Homitsky officiating. An Eastern Star service will take place Tuesday at 7:30 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery.
