She was born Oct. 10, 1945, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Zywiciel) Lesko.
She was a 1963 graduate of Shamokin High School.
On April 20, 1968, in the former St. Mary's Church, Kulpmont, she married Clement Olbrish, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 2005.
She had been employed at the former Paper Magic Company in Elysburg, and also J.K. Manufacturing in Kulpmont.
Most recently, she spent the summers working at the Cookie Nook at Knoebels Amusement Resort.
Irene was a member of Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Colandrea and her husband, Pasquale, of Mountaintop, and Tanya Boyer and her husband, Donald, of Mount Carmel; two sons, Clement Olbrish Jr. and Michael Olbrish, both of Kulpmont; five grandchildren, Alessia, Gianna and Isabella Colandrea, Alivia Boyer and Mya Olbrish; two sisters, Mary Lou Fulginiti and her husband, John, of Montoursville, and Patricia Kemper, of Kulpmont; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Lesko Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb, 17 at Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer as celebrant. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Viewing was held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Stephen A. Chowka Funeral Home, 114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin.
