Verna M. Oldright, 88, a former Puyallup resident, died Saturday in Enumclaw where she had resided the past three years.
A member of the pioneer Edgerton family, she was born in Puyallup and was a retired teacher for Puyallup and Seattle schools. She was a charter member of Alpha Phi Sorority at the University of Washington.
Mrs. Oldright was a member of the Enumclaw Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, William of Des Moines, Robert of Tacoma and George of Enumclaw; a daughter, Joy Knight of Seattle; two sisters, Helen Noble of Sumner and Mary Erickson of Edmonds; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Enumclaw Funeral Home is in charge.
