March 3, 1982 ~ January 21, 2016 Jacob Ellison Brooks, 33, passed away on January 21, 2016. Born on March 3, 1982, in Olympia, Washington, he was the only child of Teresa (Darrow) and Douglas Brooks. He graduated from Smokiam Alternative High School in Soap Lake, Washington, in 2000 before settling in Clearfield, Utah. He was a loving father; thoughtful fianc^; and loyal friend. His goofy smile, infectious laugh and generous heart will be missed. Jacob was met on the other side by both of his parents; maternal grandmother, Helen Darrow; and paternal grandfather, James Edwards Brooks. He leaves behind daughter, Jaydin Ludeman (14) of Washington; son, Jaimison Echo Scott Brooks (13) of Clearfield, UT; fianc^, Beth Bareng and her son, Ethan, of Layton, UT; and his dog Twix, whom he frequently referred to as his 'other girlfriend'. He is also survived by Washington residents, Grandpa Jim Darrow; 'Nannie' Carol Brooks his beloved grandmother; step-father, David Brunk; and many Darrow/Brooks/Brunk aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary, 250 N Fairfield Road, in Layton on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., followed immediately by a Memorial Service.
