Mrs. Edith Eggleston.
Mrs. Edith Eggleston died at the home of a sister, Mrs. E.D. Smith of 820 South Main street, at 7:30 o'clock this forenoon. Death resulted from a complication of diseases after a year's illness and a week's critical sickness.
Mrs. Eggleston, who was a daughter of A.H. Corpe of Goshen, formerly of this city where he built cement sidewalks at one time, was born in Elkhart on September 3, 1874. She always lived in this city.
Surviving her are a daughter, Margaret Donovan, and a son, Eugene Donovan, born to her first husband, "Jack" Donovan, a former well-known ball player and member of the fire department here. The children are in Boston, where Mr. Donovan lives at present. The father and a brother, Vernon Corpe, live in Goshen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday at the home, Rev. J.C. White officiating.
