Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Deanna Boudreaux Sonnier, age 73, who died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Reverend Cedric Sonnier, Deanna's nephew, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Melanie Guidry and Susan Sonnier. Giftbearers will be Lexi Rivoire, Taidum Shepheard, and Jaci Latiolais.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Joseph James "J.J." Sonnier; two daughters, Adrienne Rivoire and husband Greg, and Jami Latiolais and husband Brandon; one brother, Terry Boudreaux and wife Geneva; her grandchild, Jaci Clare Latiolais; and her great grandchildren, Lexi Rivoire, Taidum Shepheard, and Christian Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Bernice Boudreaux; her step mother, Clara Belle Boudreaux; her granddaughter, Jillian Rivoire.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Todd Boudreaux, Troy Boudreaux, Bert Sonnier. Chad Sonnier, and her son in laws, Greg Rivoire and Brandon Latiolais.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed by Reverend Cedric Sonnier on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
