Funeral services for Alexander H. Rutherford, 79, who died yesterday at his summer home in Cape Vincent, will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. In Zion Episcopal Church. Mr. Rutherford, a director of Revere Copper and Brass Incorporated and a retired stock broker, had been ill three months. Born Aug. 31, 1875, in San Francisco, Calif., he was a son of the late Alexander Rutherford and the late Mrs. George Crocker. In June, 1935, in Rochester he married Mrs. Lucy Stevens Kingsley, Rome. The couple maintained their home here for several years. Mr. Rutherford attended school in Belmont, Calif., and Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. He was graduated from Yale University in 1899. He had been associated with the Wall St. firms fo Price & MacCormack and Cutting & Taylor prior to his retirement. Mr. Rutherford was a member of the Blind Brook Country Club, Port Chester; the Racquet and Tennis Club and the Links Club, New York City; and the Bath and Tennis Club and Everglades and Gulfstream Colf Club at Palm Beach Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Rutherford made their summer home at Cape Vincent. They maintained a winter home in Palm Beach, Fla. Surviving besides his wife is a sister, Mrs. Emma Rutherford Kerney, of California.
