Angela Raiola was born in Brooklyn, New York on 30 June 1960. She was a single mother of 2 children and was raised with 2 sisters and 4 brothers, Donna and Janine; Stephan, Louis, Ronald.

Angela "Big Ang" Raiola was an author and reality star actress. Her rise to fame came after starring in the series Mob Wives. She was the owner of the Drunken Monkey bar in Staten Island, New York. Her own spin-off show Big Ang recently premiered on VH1. She also released a book entitled Bigger is Better: Real Life Wisdom from the No-Drama Mama in September 2012. Raiola made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on January 28, 2013 and starred in her second spin-off, Miami Monkey. Angela also appeared on the hit reality series, Celebrity Wife Swap.

Ms. Raiola died at 3:01a on 18 Feb 2015 at a New York hospital from complications from pneumonia, stage 4 brain and lung cancer. She was 55 years, 7 months and 19 days old at the time of her death.
