Glenn F. Carter, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday February 16, 2016. Funeral Service will be Saturday February 20th at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Ted Bane officiating. Interment will follow at Upper Bethpage Cemetery, with Joe Carter, Jerry Arrington, Rick Apple, Gary Stewart, Charlie Carter, Dickie Alexander, Bob Graham, Steven Graves, and Charlie Carr serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday February 19th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday February 20th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Carter was born February 1, 1934 in Gallatin to the late Ollie Lee Carter and Beuna Mai Gregory Carter. He was preceded in death by wife Terry Willis Carter. He is survived by daughters, Mary Clark Carter of Bethpage, and Elizabeth Love O’Connell of Hendersonville; sister, Ruth Hilda Graves (Delano) of Bethpage; and 3 grandchildren, Greyson Love Pascoe (Brad), Carter O’Connell, and Claire O’Connell. Mr. Carter was a 1951 graduate of Gallatin High School, served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and later attended Tennessee Tech.
