Dennis had been a machinist at Riverwood International. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Dennis loved to fish and do Pinterest crafts. He was a huge Cubs fan and Bears fan.
He was born December 22, 1946 at Kankakee, IL, the son of Joseph and Leona (Erzinger) Alexander.
He married Janet Walters on February 16, 1968 at Bradley, IL and she preceded him in death on December 8, 2015.
He is survived by two sons - Dennis Alexander, Jr. and wife Shelley of Christopher and Jeff Alexander and fiancé Dawn Enockson of Christopher, one daughter - Amy Alexander-Dean of Tampa, FL, two brothers - Bob Alexander and Bill Alexander, one brother-in-law - Jack Walters and wife Carol of Du Quoin, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and eight siblings.
Per Dennis’ request, cremation services will be held.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
