Mrs. Fred MANS, 20, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the home of her sister Mrs. F. C. CULLEN, 1033 Grape, after several weeks illness.
Mrs. MANS was the former Laura Gertrude McCARTY, daughter of Mrs. J. E. McCARTY of Tye, born Oct. 22, 1922. She was married Sept. 17, 1941, in Wichita Falls where she lived until she came to Abilene to live with her sister two months ago.
MANS is in Los Angeles, Calif., employed in the ship yards. Funeral arrangements in charge of Laughter Funeral home, are pending his arrival here.
Mrs. MANS, is survived by her husband and mother, two brothers, J. S. McCARTY and P. E. McCARTY of Caps; and twelve sisters, Mrs. C.S. OLIVER, Brawley, Calif., Mrs. Ludi STUTTS, Mrs. Lena OLHAUSEN, Mrs. Izora JOHNSON, Mrs. F. C. CALL, Mrs. Florene HARDY, all of Abilene, Mrs. Willie EDGMON, Mrs. Cleo CATCHNIGS, Mrs. Agnes KELLY, all of Fort Worth, Mrs. Mable STOCKTON, Wichita Falls, Mrs. Vera SHIPMAN, Buffalo Gap and Mrs. Oleta HINDS, Tye.

Mrs. MANS' Funeral Set This Afternoon
Funeral for Mrs. Fred MANS, 20, who died Wednesday in the house of her sister, Mrs. F. Cl CULLEN, 1033 Grape, will be held at the Caps Methodist church Friday at 3 p.m. Burial in Caps cemetery will be directed by Laughter's funeral home.
Mrs. MANS was the former Laura Gertrude McCARTY, daughter of Mrs. J. E. McCARTY of Tye. Her husband is employed in ship yards at Los Angeles, Calif.
