Mr. Charles Givens of 4 Hunting Lane, Westport, passed away at his home on Sunday. He was born in Houstonville, KY and spent his early years in Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Givens was a graduate of the R.C.A. Institute in New York City and also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He later worked at Consolidated Diesel Electric Comany in Stamford and recently was employed by Sears and Roebuck as a service specialist at their Springdale store.
Mr. Givens was survived by his mother, Mary Thomas, of Stamford; his daughter, Charlene Givens of Westport, his two sons, Ken and Gary Givens of Westport and his former wife, Bette Bacchiochi Givens of Westport.
